​TC AL-KO Trailer Control

AL-KO's proven anti-sway system is now available in a new design and improved responsiveness. In addition to permanent signal evaluation, the "careful position" assumed by the system in the event of a danger now allows ATC to intervene more quickly. Sensor technology and the wheel braking system react in fractions of a second with smooth braking. In many dangerous situations, you retain control of the vehicle and the new ATC provides even better protection against dangerous skidding.

This is how AL-KO Trailer Control works

There are situations that every driver fears: the caravan being blown away by wind pressure and gusts of wind when overtaking a truck or bus or when evasive maneuvers suddenly become necessary. In the worst case, the caravan shakes and an accident occurs. With ATC, AL-KO offers you an anti-slip system that records the pendulum movements of the caravan axle via the lateral acceleration sensor, like ESP on the vehicle. A tolerance range for permissible transverse movements is stored in the system. If this range is exceeded, the system intervenes before the caravan begins to shake. The brake cables are pulled, which activates the wheel brakes. In this way, the vehicle extends and returns to the lane. Braking by AL-KO Trailer Control is done smoothly, but the driver still feels it. By the way, the brake lights do not come on.

Note that ATC does not affect your caravan's critical speed range. This means it has no impact on the new 100km/h requirements for caravans and other trailers.

ATC provides such a wide usage area

You can use AL-KO Trailer Control for all caravans and hobby caravans with AL-KO chassis manufactured after 1998. You can have it installed at more than a hundred AL-KO dealers in Germany. The ATC is connected to the trailer junction box and is thus supplied with power. An operational check is automatically performed when connecting. The green LED lamp on the starting device indicates that it is ready for operation. However, it is not possible to connect to a 7-pole connector. Once installed, AL-KO ATC does not require any maintenance.
